I think we are going to try to plan to do this again next year, but maybe with an earlier start date! To me, it was a great way for the kids to earn a little money for their student accounts, and the product quality is great! I ordered wrapping paper, and it's wonderful!

It worked great. The students were excited about receiving all the prizes in the categories. The way the things were boxed with the student’s name on the outside was a huge help. Clay was awesome to work with, very patient. I would definitely use Big Fundraising Ideas again.

We sold wrapping paper. Big Fundraising ideas was great to work with and helped during the entire process. I was apprehensive at first as I didn't know much about the company. I had to sign a contract, which made me feel uneasy at first. However, everyone at the company was a dream to work with, and helped during the entire process. I enjoyed the experience and so did our group. We will definitely do this again.

It went great! Loved the selection of products just wish there was less confusion over which products had to be ordered online vs catalog. And would like to request that announcement posters (small to medium) be included in fundraising kit that details dates & specifics etc. the kind where you can write that stuff in but with Charleston wrap already written on it.

Answer

Schools raise more than $1.5 billion yearly selling products. The most popular choices include fall and holiday brochures that offer variety.

Questions
How long does a brochure sale last?
Answer

Two whole weeks, including weekends.

Questions
Which catalog fundraisers are the most popular?
Answer

Most schools fundraise in the fall using large brochures that include various holiday gifts.

Questions
How much money can schools raise?
Answer

It depends on various factors, like the size of the school and the socioeconomic makeup. It’s not uncommon for a school with 500 students to bring in $30,000 or more.

Questions
Is it better to sell early in the fall or before the holidays?
Answer

Most schools start fundraising right after school starts. Their goal is to sell ahead of other groups in their area. But many organizations sell before the holidays. This is when people may be more apt to purchase gifts.

Questions
How can we have a successful fall fundraiser?
Answer

Here are three things to consider: 1) Have a purpose people are willing to support, 2) Set an individual student and school-wide sales goal, and 3) Determine the best way to motivate your students to sell.

Questions
Do lower-priced fundraisers work?
Answer

It depends on whether your community is price-sensitive or not. Your group may be able to sell more items, but you will make less off each item. On average, our regular brochures raise more money for schools.

Questions
Is there any cost to start a school fundraiser?
Answer

No, there is no initial cost to start a school fundraiser. You only need to pay once you have collected the funds. If you choose to sell using a brochure, we provide promotional supplies upfront without any charges. When selling a product you have on hand, payment is expected within 15 days of receiving the products.

Questions
Do we have the option only to sell online?
Answer

You have the option to conduct your fundraiser online exclusively. Online fundraisers offer the advantage of eliminating the need to handle physical order forms and money. Moreover, the products purchased online will be directly shipped to the customers' addresses, enhancing convenience.

Questions
How does school fundraising work?
Answer

School fundraising is a straightforward process. You can choose from different options: select a brochure to showcase a range of products, choose a specific product to sell, or opt for an online fundraiser to promote your cause. The best part is that you can initiate your fundraising efforts without any upfront expenses.

Questions
Is your custom school tumblers dishwasher safe?
Answer

Our custom school tumblers made from stainless steel are not recommended for dishwasher use. It's advisable to hand wash them to ensure their longevity. On the other hand, our plastic tumblers are generally considered safe for the top rack of a dishwasher.

Questions
Are any of your fundraising products gluten-free?
Answer

Yes, some of our popular fundraising products are gluten-free. Notably, popcorn and lollipops are among the options individuals with gluten restrictions can enjoy while supporting the fundraising campaign.

Questions
How much profit do schools make?
Answer

Schools can earn a substantial profit through our fundraising programs. For brochure sales, schools typically make a 40% profit. Regarding in-hand product sales, the profit percentage depends on the number of items ordered, allowing schools to earn up to an impressive 90%. The profit from online fundraisers is determined by the total number of items your group sells.

Questions
What is a fall fundraiser?
Answer

A fall fundraiser is an event or campaign held during autumn to raise funds for a cause, organization, or project.

Questions
What are some unique and creative fall-themed fundraiser ideas?
Answer

Consider hosting a pumpkin carving contest, a hayride and bonfire event, a fall-themed cooking competition, or a spooky scavenger hunt to engage donors creatively.

  • Consider drawings during your sale to allow participants to win bonus prizes.
  • On a tight budget? Offer group-related privileges instead of paying for extra incentives.
More Fall Fundraiser Ideas

In 2022, consumers spent an estimated $936.3 billion in the retail industry over the holiday season. More than 165 million consumers chose to shop over Black Friday weekend alone! Although smaller, schools raise a respectable $1.4 billion selling fundraiser products.

According to AFRDS, product sales yield the best results compared to other fundraisers. The fall season is the time for giving, so there's no shortage of sales opportunities. And our brochures cover all the bases.

Each fall brochure incorporates a specific gift concept. "Heartland Goodies & Gifts" and "Tis the Season" offer kitchenware accessories, practical household items, and holiday gifts. Options like these are great when approaching neighbors, as the target audience is usually adults who answer the front door.

But be sure to comb through the pages first because there are a few unique gems. Our favorites are the variety of freshly baked cookies and a large variety of cheeses and sausages. We also recommend checking out the large selection of designer wraps.

"Happy Holidays" has an average retail price of $17 - an excellent selling point, for starters. This brochure suits a broader audience because it's affordable and specific to gift-giving. Kids also like picking gifts, knowing that the items are reasonably priced. They can find anything from snack boxes for their friends to candy for their siblings. "Happy Holidays" is an accessible and appealing option.

"'Tis the Season" and "Joyful Wishes" focus on Christmas. This is perfect if you love burning candles that smell like fir trees or eating yummy goodies. With a solid theme during a sales-driven season, yielding a high profit will be no problem.

Of the fall catalogs in this category, "Heartland Goodies & Gifts" may be the most successful option. This fundraising catalog boasts an enormous amount of durable and double-sided wrapping paper. Fall has no shortage of uses for quality and attractive wrapping paper options.

And you may have some Halloween parties coming up. This is the perfect time to whip out your child's fall fundraiser catalog. Especially if it involves the Dulce de Leche owls or pecan caramel clusters, when folks are already enjoying their ghoulish goodies, they'll be in the frame of mind to buy more.

If you're raising early in the season, use various options to sell to your customer. Ask people, "Who are you buying gifts for this year?" Wrapping paper is "perfect if it's later in the season. You'll give the appearance that everything wasn't wrapped simultaneously.
