Each chocolate bar weighs 2 ounces and measures approximately 5 ¾ x 1 ¾ x ⅜ inches.

Unopened $2 Funtastic Collection has an 18-month shelf life from its production date. To determine the actual expiration date, variety bars have a Lot Code that indicates when they were produced. The Lot Code is found both on the white product label on the master case and also in the white box on the back of every wrapper.

To determine the production date, if the Lot Code is 2G02129A, for example, the first number represents the second decade (2020-2029). The ‘G’ represents the year, which is 2026 (A is 2020, B is 2021, C is 2022, and so on). The ‘021’ is the day on the Julian Date Calendar, which is January 21. The remainder of the code represents internal information, such as the resource (machine) and sequence numbering. So, in our example, the lot code indicates that the candy bar was produced on January 21, 2026, and is good through July 21, 2027 (18 months later).

All of our chocolate bars are kosher, peanut-free, and gluten-free. Our gummy bears are gluten-free.

Only chocolate bars manufactured in a 100% peanut-free facility can carry a "peanut-free" label. $2 Funtastic Collection Bars are certified peanut-free.

This area is completely closed off from the rest of the plant. Only authorized personnel are allowed in this area. We examine samples of each production lot for traces of peanuts.

The peanut-free zone uses equipment not used for any other process. Only peanut-free zone employees work in this area. They are never transferred to the regular factory or have access to it.

Our facility is 'peanut-free certified' and is regularly inspected by government agencies.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, 7.6% of children have food allergies, 2.2% are allergic to peanuts, and 1.2% to peanuts and nuts. The percentage of children with peanut allergies has tripled in the last ten years alone. Only about 20 percent of children with peanut allergy outgrow it over time, so it is usually lifelong.

Peanuts are part of a different plant family called legumes. They grow underground and differ from tree nuts, such as almonds, cashews, pistachios, walnuts, and pecans, which grow on trees. However, about 40% of children with tree nut allergies are allergic to peanuts.

While our Caramel and Crisp Rice bars do not contain nuts as an ingredient, they are not certified tree-nut-free; only certified peanut-free. The reason is that we manufacture our chocolate bars in a facility that processes other tree nuts. Only products manufactured in a 100% peanut-free facility can carry a "peanut-free" label.

Unfortunately, peanut and nut allergies are common. Severe allergic reactions and potentially life-threatening risks are all too common. In response, school districts nationwide are starting to enforce peanut-free policies.

Those who are allergic should avoid foods containing peanuts and peanut byproducts. This includes anything with a warning that it "may contain" or "may contain traces of" peanut. Only products manufactured in a peanut-free facility can carry a peanut-free label.
