How to Maximize Your Online Store Sales

Tips to help you get the most out of your online store.

The online store is an additional money-maker for your fundraiser because it allows your students and parents to reach out to people who may not have access to your sales brochure. While your sellers can approach people close by with the brochure, the online store allows them to also sell to out-of-town family and friends. This opens up an unlimited number of potential customers throughout the country.

If your brochure fundraising company also offers an online store, how will you be able to get the most out of it? Here are some promotional ideas that work for many schools that can also help you maximize your online store sales.

Advertise Online Selling in Your Parent Letter

It’s always a good idea to inform your parents about your online store in your parent letter, which comes home in your student packets on the day of your kickoff. The letter should direct parents to the website and provide an access code.

Promote Making Internet Sales at the Kickoff Meeting

Talk to your students at your kickoff about the opportunity to reach higher prize levels through online fundraising. Encourage them to ask their parents to visit the online store website once they get home. Show them where information about online selling can be found. In addition, companies should provide online store information on the back of their brochures.

Post the Online Store Link on Social Media

Spread the word further by placing the online store link on your social media sites. Tell people why you are asking them to visit the website. Also, encourage your parents and teachers to do the same.

Promote the Sending Out of Automatic Emails

Many companies will ask parents to register their students online. Once they do that, students are assigned specific numbers that can be passed on to family and friends through automated emails. Once email recipients purchase items in the store, students receive additional prize credit. These emails are already personalized, as though they come directly from the student.

If promoted well, online store sales can translate into additional money for your school. And you don’t have to worry about receiving any deliveries because the product is shipped directly to the buyer. Nothing gets any easier than that.
