Common Questions

What is the significance of selling peanut-free candy bars?
Food allergies are common, and we're all becoming more aware of the significance of severe allergic reactions and the potentially life-threatening risks. School districts nationwide are starting to enforce peanut-free policies in response to the problems associated with peanut and nut allergies. People allergic to peanuts should avoid foods containing peanuts and peanut byproducts. This includes anything with a warning that it "may contain" or "may contain traces of" peanut. Only companies with products that are labeled "peanut free" can claim their products have been manufactured and packaged in a peanut-free facility.

What is your process for making your candy bars in a peanut-free environment?
All products containing our peanut-free logo are manufactured in a peanut-free zone. This area is completely closed off from the rest of the plant and restricted to authorized personnel only. Samples of each production lot are examined for traces of peanuts.

Ingredients arrive sealed through a common receiving area until transported to the zone that will convert them. Likewise, the finished product is stocked in a common shipping area. Still, before leaving the peanut-free zone, the peanut-free candy bars are sealed with wrappers around the bars and placed in carrying cases that are also factory-sealed.

The peanut-free zone uses its manufacturing equipment, which isn't used for any other production process. Only peanut-free zone employees work in that zone; they are never transferred to the regular factory or have access to it. They arrive in traditional street clothes, change into work clothes and shoes, and wear hair nets and gloves. Hair nets and gloves are disposed of within each specific production zone.

Our supplier is peanut-free certified and is regularly inspected by government agencies. They don't claim "nut-free" on their candy bars because they produce roasted almond chocolate bars. Though no one can claim zero risk of cross-contamination, our supplier feels it's well-controlled until our customers receive the product.

Are all of your candy bars made in a peanut-free environment?
No, the only candy bars made in a peanut-free environment are:

  • America's Variety
  • United We Stand
  • Chocolatiers

Ordering & Shipping

How long will it take to receive our order?
Your order will deliver in 3-7 business days.

How do we pay for our order?
Payment options include purchase orders, signing an agreement, or paying by check.

What is the minimum number of candy bars that can be ordered?
You must order at least 1 case.

Can we reorder?
Yes, however, you must reorder at least 1 case.

Do you take back returns?
Because we want to maintain the same high level of freshness for every customer, we don't take back any unsold product.

Do we have to pay for shipping?
Unless the temperature is going to be above 80 degrees, shipping to your location is free of charge. Shipping on reorders also free.

How much will we be charged for shipping if the temperature exceeds 80 degrees?
We can use no standard formula to determine the shipping cost if the temperature exceeds 80 degrees. Each warehouse has a slightly different packing process, depending on if they ship with dry ice, ice packs, or in Styrofoam coolers with ice packs.

$20 per case for 1 case is pretty standard. Here's an approximate cost breakdown based on the number of ordered cases:

  • 2 cases can ship for $25 in total
  • 3 cases can ship for $30 in total
  • 4 cases can ship for $40 in total

What if the temperature in my area is going to be below 80 degrees?
We don't just consider your area but also the temperature throughout the entire route to your location.
