Do people purchase live flowers and plants?

Buyers can purchase bulbs, seeds, and roots. We do not carry live plants in the soil, so nothing is potted or growing, but some roots might have sprouted. Bare-root plants are dormant perennials, meaning they are not actively growing. They are dug up and stored without any soil around their roots. We recommend planting promptly.

Your group receives a profit from each sale.

Do participants need to register?

Registration is the most effective way to promote your fundraiser online. Once registered, participants can invite friends and family to your online store using text, social media, and email. They'll also be able to log in to their sales portal anytime to track their online sales. If you’re offering one of our prize programs, online sales count towards earning prizes. When more potential buyers click on the link that your sellers share, your store will experience increased traffic and sales. Once at the store, the participant's name appears at the top of the page, which helps to personalize the fundraiser. Encourage your sellers to personalize the visitor experience even more by uploading their pictures when logged into their dashboard. Participants who add their picture are ten times more likely to get supporters than those who don't.

Do we receive a group link?

Participants will need your group link to register. This way, they can log in and track their sales progress. When they share the link with friends and family using social media, text, and email, visitors will see the participant's name when they arrive at the store. If your group members don't want to register, they can send your group link.

Is money collected with each order?

There is no in-person ordering or money collection. Participants generate sales when the people they invite buy products from your store.

Participants can log in to their portal at any time to view their sales updates.

Are there any fees?

There are no setup fees or costs to run a Flowers Online fundraiser. We will waive the $50 admin fee once your group sells 50 products.

Can participants earn prizes?

Motivating your participants by using incentives can improve sales. We offer two prize program options: cash or prizes. We will email you your prize flyer before your kickoff. After your sale, we add the total cash amount to your profit payment. Or, if you choose a traditional prize plan, we ship your prizes to your group address. You'll receive a sales report listing your participants' names and the amount they sold. Prizes are shipped with a reference list that matches prizes with participants. There is no cost to the group for our prize programs.

Do participants get a brochure to show?

Because this is an online fundraiser, there are no brochures. Before your sale, you'll receive a 'registration instruction steps' email. Be sure to forward it to your sellers.

How soon can we start?

You'll receive an agreement to sign after you submit our Start a Fundraiser form. Processing your order and setting up your store will take at least 3-5 business days. Your store will be live once we send you your participant registration steps. We recommend holding an official kickoff meeting so everyone starts at the same time. If you can't meet in person, consider using online communication technology. Examples include Zoom, Cisco Webex, GoToMeeting, and Google Meet.

How long is the fundraiser?

The key is to balance sufficient time for sales with sustained enthusiasm, so we’ve found a 2-week sale to be optimal. Therefore, we will set your end date for two weeks after your start date by default. To succeed, focus on creating urgency among your sellers, getting out of the gate quickly, and establishing early momentum. Your store will close the next business day after your fundraiser ends.

Do you only work with schools?

No, we also work with non-school groups, such as church groups, sports leagues, and dance organizations.

Can we use more than one store at a time?

Accepted Answer

No. You must choose one store. For example, Goodies & Gifts Online cannot be run alongside Popcorn Online. However, you can always run a second online fundraiser after the first one ends.

Is there a minimum group size?

Yes. Your group must have at least 5 participants.

How will we receive our money?

Your profit payment is processed within 10 business days after your store's closing.

What is our profit?

Your profit percentage is based on the number of products your group sells and ranges from 25% to 40%. You also receive 70% of online donations.

Can we accept donations?

People can donate in increments of $25, $50, $100, and $250. Your group receives 70% profit from all donations.

Can buyers credit more than one participant?

No. The online store is set up so that only one participant receives credit for a particular sale.

What about sales tax?

Certain states require that we collect and remit sales tax on purchases made by online customers to their state's Department of Revenue. The sales tax will automatically be calculated and added to their total at checkout if that state requires it.

How soon will orders ship out?

Online orders ship within 3-5 business days. Shipping time frames are as follows: Fall orders begin shipping in mid-September. Spring Orders begin shipping on March 1st.
