Gourmet Gourmet Spring Brochure Fundraising Profit

Gourmet Gourmet Spring Brochure Fundraising Profit

How much can your group make on a Gourmet Gourmet Spring brochure fundraiser? To answer this question, you must know your group size (student count) and how many items you think each student can sell (student item goal). Here’s how you can estimate your profit:

Calculation Steps

  1. Student Count x Student Item Goal = Items Sold
  2. Determine Your Profit % (From the table below)
  3. Items Sold x Average Retail Price = Gross Sales
  4. Gross Sales x Profit % = Group Profit

Example

  1. Let’s say you have 60 students and set your student item goal at 10. The items sold would be 60 Students x 10 Items / Student = 600.
  2. The profit table below indicates that you would fall in the 40% profit range.
  3. Next, determine your gross sales. The average retail price is about $13, so your gross sales would be 600 Items x $13 = $7,800.
  4. Since your profit is 40%, your group profit would be $7,800 x 40% = $3,120.
Items Sold Profit
Up to 2,500 40%
2,501-5,000 45%
5,001+ 50%

Higher profits are available with traditional prizes only

Keep in mind that our example is only an estimated profit. In reality, students probably won’t sell the same number of items. In addition, the average retail dollars sold per seller will vary.

Profit is determined by combining the total number of brochure and online store items sold. Max profit is 40% if using a big event, sportswear, cash prize program, frozen food, cookie dough, and online sales.
