How it Works

How does a smencils fundraiser work?

Your group profits when participants sell Soda Shop Smencils to friends and family.

How do we pay?

Since the product is ordered upfront, you have the following payment options:

  • Purchase order: If you're a public school, you can order without paying up front. A purchase order is a legally binding document between your group and us. Payment is due within 15 days of receipt of the product, giving you time to collect enough money to pay your bill. You then keep the rest as profit.
  • Credit card: We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal.
  • Direct Deposit: You must provide your bank routing and account numbers. We will send you a form via a secure, encrypted email to complete, sign, and return. Contact us

Order Soda Shop Smencils at a discounted price and then sell them at full retail. The difference is your profit.

Do you offer pricing discounts?

Yes, we offer volume discounts. For more information, see our 'Case Pricing' table at the top of the page.

How long is the fundraiser?

We recommend giving your sellers one week to sell their smencil allocation and turn in the money.

TIP: Use a tracking sheet to ensure timely and accurate money turn-in.

How much should I order?

The size of your order depends on the number of participants in your group and how many smencils you want to sell. Since Soda Shop Smencils come with six inner buckets of 50 in a case, consider issuing 25 to each seller.

To determine how many cases to order, divide the number of participants in your group by 12. Round up to the following case number if needed.

Do you take back unsold products?

We do not accept returns.

TIP: Consider issuing unsold smencils to participants who volunteer to sell them in exchange for a portion of the profit. This way, you will maximize your profits as much as possible.

Can participants earn prizes?

We don't offer any prize programs with our Soda Shop Smencils fundraiser.

How much do they sell for?

We suggest selling Soda Shop Smencils for $1 each.

How many smencils are in a case?

500. There are six inner buckets of 50. Each case contains one bucket of Cherry Cola, Fizzy Pop, Orange Soda, Grape Soda, and two buckets of Root Beer.

Are smencils individually packaged?

Yes. Each smencil is packaged in its own recyclable plastic freshness tube.

Can scents be mixed in a case?

No. All scents are preselected, and cases cannot be broken up.

How long do smencils stay fresh?

Scents are guaranteed to last for two years.

Making Sales

Is there a minimum order?

There is a 1-case minimum order requirement.

How much money can we make?

Estimating your profit is easy. Consider the following example.

A sponsor with 55 participants wants everyone to sell 25 smencils:

  1. 55 participants x 25 smencils / participant = 1,375 smencils
  2. 1,375 smencils ÷ 300 smencils / case = 4.58 cases (Roundup)
  3. 5 cases x 300 smencils / case = 1,500 smencils
  4. 1,500 smencils x $1.00 / smencil = $1,500.00 retail
  5. $1,500.00 x 40% profit = $600.00 profit

Orders ship within 1-2 business days. The time it takes to ship depends on your location from our warehouse.
