Additional Incentives

Additional Incentives

What do we mean by additional incentives? Most brochure fundraising companies already provide a complimentary prize program. Company prize programs are good because everyone who sells wins something. The problem is they don't usually motivate students to try to sell more. And since you should want to get the most out of your sale, consider supplementing your prize program with additional incentives.

So what additional incentives will work best for your group? The age of your students will largely determine the types of incentives you should offer. The endless choices can even be customized based on your unique circumstances. Here are just a few ideas to consider:

Preschools

  • The parent who sells the most receives _____________. (For example, free or discounted tuition for a month)
  • Grand Prize Drawing (Sell five items to get your name in 1 time. Sell ten items to get your name in twice...)

Elementary Schools

  • Top Seller Prize:
    • Top overall seller
    • Top 3 sellers
    • A top seller in each grade
    • The top 20 sellers get to _____________. (For example, ride in a limo, go to a pizza party…)
  • Grand Prize Drawing (Sell five items to get your name in 1 time. Sell ten items to get your name in twice...)

Middle Schools

  • The sponsor will _____________ for those students who exceed their goal.
  • Top 25 sellers get to _____________ (For example, go to a school DJ party)
  • Grand Prize Drawing (Sell five items to get your name in 1 time. Sell ten items to get your name in twice...)

High Schools

  • If everyone reaches their goal, then the group gets to _____________.
  • Whoever sells a certain number of items by _____ doesn't have to _____________. (For example, pick up equipment after practice…)

For instance, you can even reward students during your sale by having periodic prize drawings. For every five items sold, students get to turn in a coupon for a chance to win a prize or special privilege (For example, a free hall pass, 1st in line for a day pass, or a no homework pass…)
